Levitas Complete Health screen

This is a very comprehensive health check where you will spend around 3 hours with our team. Our aim is to make this a rewarding health management experience that is very personal to you.

The Structure of the day

Upon arrival, you will have a variety of initial tests conducted by our Health Care Assistant. This includes:
  • Weight
  • Spirometry
  • Height
  • Audiology (Hearing)
  • O2 Sats
  • Blood Pressure        
  • Peak Flow
  • Q Risks
  • Pulse Rate
  • Blood Oxygen Levels         
  • BMI    
  • ECG
  • Complete Body Composition Analysis
This will then be followed by the Doctors’ physical examination, including:
  • Sight Pupils and Gundi
  • Urology
  • Cardiovascular Heart – Aortic Aneurysm Apalpation – Peripheral – Pulses-Venous System – Peripheral Circulation
  • Musculoskeletal Neck and Maxillae – Spine – Joints – Strength and Tone
  • Respiratory
  • Neurology – Nervous System
  • Gastroenterology -Mouth and Throat-Stomach- Abdomen
  • Integumentary -Skin and Hair
  • Glandular System
  • Ears
  • Gynae
  • ENT
  • MEN SPECIFIC -Inguinal Regions-Rectal-External Genitalia
  • WOMEN SPECIFIC Gynaecology-Uterus-Vagina-Cervix-Adnexae-Breast Examination

Pathology Laboratory Tests

This is a fasting blood test which will be followed by breakfast at the practice.

  • Liver Function – Total Protein, Albumin, Globulin, ALT, AST, ALP, GGT, LDH, Total Bilirubin
  • Bone Screen – Calcium Corrected Calcium phosphate ALP Uric Acid
  • Thyroid Function – TSH Free T4  
  • Vitamin D (25 OH)
  • Vitamin B12
  • Folate
  • ESR
  • HbA1c
  • Iron Studies – Iron Ferritin Transferrin Saturation TIBC
  • CK
  • Kidney Function – Sodium, Potassium, Bicarbonate, Urea, Creatinine, eGFR
  • Lipids – Cholesterol, HDL Triglycerides, LDL, HDL Cholesterol Ratio
  • Stool Sample – Occult Blood                     
  • Urine Culture
You will have a full examination and discussion with one of our GPs. This will include any concerns, past medical history, psychological, sexual and social wellbeing. This will be followed by a written report which will include all your diagnostic results and provide you with recommendations for your ongoing care, lifestyle and diet.

*Please note there is an additional premium of £20 for weekend appointments for non-members.

Our members health screen is an annual complimentary screen offered to members.

30 minutes

Offered to

All Mews Practice Members over the age of 18, offered annually to give a general overview of their health.

  • BP/Height/weight & BMI calculation
  • Urine dipstick

Cost

Available to members as part of their annual membership fees.

Having been required to fast prior to your blood test, you will be provided with breakfast at the surgery. One of our GP’s will then give you a full examination and consultation. During this you will discuss any of your concerns, your past medical history as well as your psychological, sexual and social wellbeing. You will then receive a written report which will include all of your diagnostic results alongside on-going health advice such as lifestyle and diet.
