Coil Fitting at Levitas Clinic
An Intrauterine Device (or IUD) is a T-shaped, small copper device which is fitted into your uterus (womb) by a doctor or nurse. It can protect you against for between 5 and 10 years and works by releasing copper into the womb to prevent you from getting pregnant.
You may have heard it referred to us a “coil” or “copper coil”.
You would receive a consultation with the doctor before one is fitted and the appointment itself would last 60 minutes. Once the coil is fitted, we offer regular check-ups and coil removal.
Oral Contraception at Levitas Clinic
Oral contraception is another method which we can offer you at Levitas Clinic. We recommend patients speak to a GP to discuss what options are available to them.
